Natural gas supply to Armenia has been temporarily suspended due to the need to carry out emergency recovery works in Georgia, Gazprom Armenia said in a statement.

Gas supplies have been stopped since 10:00 on November 13.

According to the gas distribution company, emergency recovery works are being carried out at the Kazakh-Saguramo section (DN 1000) of the North Caucasus - Transcaucasus transit gas trunkline in Georgia, due to which natural gas supply to Armenia has been temporarily suspended.

“During the mentioned period, uninterrupted and reliable gas supply to the republic's consumers will be carried out without restrictions at the expense of internal reserves and additional volumes of natural gas supplies from IRI (Islamic Republic of Iran, note),” the report says.

The repair works should be completed and gas supply should be restored by 22:00 on November 14.

“Gazprom Armenia is fully owned by Gazprom. The company supplies gas to the country's domestic market.
