Statements by the spokesman of the Armenian Foreign Ministry about the peaceful position of Armenia, "armed with all means of offensive weapons and whose Constitution and other legal acts contain territorial claims to Azerbaijan, are manipulations aimed at misleading the international community," Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Aykhan Hajizadeh said, commenting on the latest statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman.

According to Azerbaijani media, Hajizadeh said, "the Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman refers to the recent decision of the Armenian Constitutional Court on the conformity to the Armenian Constitution of the regulations governing the joint activities of the commissions on border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a confirmation that there are no territorial claims to neighbors in their Constitution."

"Checking the facts on this statement it is enough to recall that the Armenian side did not give up the so-called claims on Western Armenia back in January 2010, when the decision of the Constitutional Court on the constitutionality of the protocols on the normalization of relations with Turkey was substantiated in detail.

Armenia should refrain from contradictory statements, steps of provocative nature, demonstrate by its activities and real steps respect for the norms and principles of international law," he said.

It is noteworthy that the spokesman of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, without blushing, speaks about the norms of international law and decided to forget about his heavily armed country, the regular aggressive statements of its leadership, the occupation of the sovereign territory of Armenia, the violent exodus of the Armenian population of Artsakh, the destruction of their culture and history and much more. What is no less curious is that now the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has also brought in the issue of Turkey, which has a lot to answer for.
