Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's United National Movement party and its satellite political forces will be declared unconstitutional and their members will no longer be able to participate in any elections in the country, executive secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party Mamuka Mdinaradze said on Thursday.

“Not only will the collective National Movement not take part in the local government elections (to be held this fall - ed.), but they will not be able to participate in any other elections in this country. As anti-Georgian, anti-state, criminal parties they will be declared unconstitutional parties and their activities will be banned,” Mdinaradze said at the briefing.
