According to the news department of the holding company, Russian Railways (RZD) will soon open a representative office in Uzbekistan, and the selection of tourist train routes is also being considered.

The day before, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savilyev. Oleg Belozerov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RZD, also attended the meeting.

Russian Railways and its Uzbekistan partners are working in the widest range of areas: joint implementation of international infrastructure projects, development of passenger transport, expansion of logistics services, digitization, education projects, and humanitarian cooperation, "said the press office of Russian Railways.

During the meeting, the resumption of train operations on the Tashkent Moscow route, which was closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, was also discussed. The trains on this route will run once a week from September 24th and twice a week from December 15th.

In addition, Russian Railways plans to open a representative office in Uzbekistan in the near future and launch the fast refrigerated train "AgroExpress" in the freight sector.
