Thousands of people headed towards the Parliament of Georgia after the end of a rally demanding the release of political prisoners near the "New Theater" on Agmashenebeli Avenue.

The participants of the procession are marching towards Rustaveli Avenue, chanting "Georgia" and "Fire the oligarchy", "No justice - no peace".

At the Parliament they will repeat the demands that have remained unchanged for almost two months - the appointment of new parliamentary elections and the release of more than 50 demonstrators against whom criminal cases have been opened.

Among them is New Theater actor Andro Chichinadze. Today the troupe presented its own "protest manifesto" by performing a colorful musical show with political slogans. The actors promised not to stop at Tbilisi and go to the regions.

Protests erupted in Georgia on November 28 after Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced the freezing of EU accession talks. The rallies were violently suppressed in Tbilisi during the first week, with actions ending in the detention of dozens of people.
