The issue of Armenia's participation in the UN climate conference (COP29) in Azerbaijan depends on the dynamics of negotiations between Yerevan and Baku. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan told reporters in parliament.

“When we make a final decision, we will notify whether we will participate and at what level,” Kostanyan said.

Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said Armenia has officially received the invitation, but has not yet expressed its position on the issue, as it has to understand what it is all about. In his turn, Prime Minister's Chief of Staff Araik Harutyunyan noted that many circumstances may influence the decision to go to Baku, including serious progress on the issue of concluding a peace treaty.

The UN Climate Conference COP29 started in Baku on November 11 and will last until November 22.
