Armenian Defense Ministry denied Azerbaijan's report on shelling of positions

Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said about shooting in Nakhijevan direction.

YEREVAN, September 12 - Sputnik. Armenian Defense Ministry called the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's report on shelling of positions in the direction of Nakhijevan disinformation.

“The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's report that allegedly on September 12 from 00:15 to 01:05 units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia shelled Azerbaijani positions located in the southwestern part of the border zone does not correspond to reality,” the report says.

The Defense Ministry recalled that the Armenian Prime Minister's Office proposed to create a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations and/or information about them, to which Baku has not yet responded.

The previous day, Baku also made similar accusations, followed by a denial from Yerevan.
