Tajikistan recommended that citizens refrain from traveling to Russia

The Embassy of Tajikistan in Russia has recommended its citizens to temporarily refrain from traveling to Russia.

“In view of the ongoing regime of enhanced control of entry of foreign citizens across the state border at land and air checkpoints in the Russian Federation, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation recommends citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan to temporarily refrain from traveling to the Russian Federation without an urgent need,” the statement said.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced “verification measures” being carried out at the Russian border “regardless of the nationality of persons crossing the border”. These measures were strengthened after the terrorist attack that took place in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow.

Earlier Kun.uz wrote that the number of foreigners deported from Russia increased by more than 50%.
