Salome Zurabishvili discussed the situation in Georgia and Moldova with Maia Sandu

The presidents of Georgia and Moldova discussed the current moment by phone.

“Both Moldova and Georgia are preparing for an important democratic test. Moldova firmly supports the Georgian people in their pursuit of democracy and European aspirations,” Maya Sandu wrote in X.

Georgia holds parliamentary elections on Oct. 26, and a few days before that, on Oct. 20, Moldova's presidential elections and simultaneously a referendum on EU accession.
