Miller: US never linked Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty to COP29 summit

The U.S. never linked the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal to the COP29 summit, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said at a briefing.

“We wanted to see a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan months ago and pushed for a peace agreement, ultimately hoping it would cross the line. But that's up to both sides, not the U.S.,” Miller said.
