Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has said that the country's fall parliamentary elections will be held amid unprecedented outside interference, but Russia has no such resources.
“The Russian Federation does not have the resource to put significant pressure on the election process in Georgia. In general, it is very unfortunate that these elections will be held against the background of unprecedented interference from outside, which is a gross violation of electoral principles. You have heard threats, blackmail, and all because we have not opened a second front in Georgia” - Prime Minister said at the briefing.
When asked what is meant by resources, Kobakhidze said that “these are resources in the direction of media, own parties and so on”.
Parliamentary elections will be held in Georgia on October 26.
