Armenia's Charge d'Affaires in Belarus Narek Tiratunyan has been summoned to the Foreign Ministry in connection with the act of vandalism against the Belarusian embassy in Yerevan.

Sputnik Belarus writes that.

“The Armenian side is pointed out the obligation of the host state to ensure the safety of the Belarusian diplomatic mission and its property, as well as the safety of diplomatic staff, as established by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and universally accepted,” reports the diplomatic mission.

According to the agency, a group of people threw potatoes and tomatoes at the embassy building.

The Foreign Ministry added that Belarus expects compensation for the damage and hopes to identify the vandals and their punishment.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the distortion of the role of the state in the new history textbooks in Armenia and urged not to “look through your fingers” at it.
