Volodymyr Zelensky apologized to US President Donald Trump for the altercation in the Oval Office of the White House on February 28. This was reported by the US leader's special envoy Steve Witkoff on Fox News.
The official said that Zelensky "sent a letter to the president."
"He apologized for the incident that happened in the Oval Office. I think that was an important step," Steve Witkoff said.
It should be noted that the meeting between Trump and Zelensky took place in Washington on February 28, and it escalated into an altercation. The signing of the deal between the US and Ukraine on rare earth metals was canceled, although everything was ready, and Zelensky was forced to leave the White House. Trump said that he does not see Zelensky's desire to resolve the conflict with Russia.
