In response to Sputnik Armenia's enquiry, the ‘Government Dachas Household’ SNCO named the reasons for the cold in the government residence of the Armenian Prime Minister.
Earlier at a government session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the buildings of the government residence in Yerevan, where he lives with his family, are not heated properly and they are forced to switch on electric heaters.
‘The heating system in the government dachas needs to be re-equipped, and technical problems arise from time to time, which are being eliminated,’ the SNCO said.
So far, it said, a solution has been found that is not the most efficient, but one that has improved the quality of heating.
The centralised heating system itself has been installed since 2006. Partial adjustment works were carried out during the operation. However, for the final solution of the problem it is necessary to re-equip the boiler house with modern equipment and machinery.
‘Until then, the SNCO ‘Household of Government Dachas’ within the limits of its capabilities is carrying out possible steps to improve the quality of the heating system’, - stated in the response to the request.
It should be noted that on 23 December, Pashinyan published a video clip showing his wife, Anna Hakobyan, learning English while sitting on the floor. In the comments Pashinyan was reminded of his statement about the cold - in response the Prime Minister (or someone authorised on his behalf) said that after his words at the government session the dachas are already warmed up so that it became hot, and now they are trying to solve the reverse issue.
