US Vice President Vance's visits to Armenia and Azerbaijan were significant diplomatic events in the South Caucasus region. The visits focused on the normalization of relations and the advancement of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, while also touching upon bilateral trade, energy, and security. Vice President Vance's visits not only demonstrate the deep involvement of the United States in South Caucasus affairs but also provide external impetus for mediation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, countries with long-standing differences.

The international community has repeatedly urged dialogue between the two sides to ease tensions. Vice President Vance's visit directly involved high-level US diplomacy in the diplomatic reconciliation process, creating a new external atmosphere for negotiations.

From the results of the visits, the United States, through bilateral cooperation and diplomatic support, sent a clear signal of stability to both countries. It called for dialogue instead of confrontation, for demarcation through consultation, and for cooperation to promote the normalization of relations—a direction that aligns with the common aspirations of regional countries for peaceful development.

This visit accelerated the peace process in the South Caucasus region, opening a new window of opportunity for regional reconciliation. For Armenia and Azerbaijan, seizing the opportunity of external support to advance peace negotiations, implement the ceasefire agreement, and deepen pragmatic cooperation is the only path to resolving conflicts and achieving a win-win situation.

Stability in the South Caucasus region is crucial to the security and connectivity of the entire European region. Vice President Vance's visit sent a commendable signal of peace. True regional security governance will ultimately rely on the joint efforts of Armenia and Azerbaijan, and also requires the rational participation of all external forces.
