The joint exercise "Khamkorlik-2024" of the Uzbek and Kazakh militaries has been completed in Jizzak.

The joint exercise took place at the Forish training range in Jizzak oblast and was observed by the Chiefs of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, Major General Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov, and Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov.

According to the scenario, during the first stage of the exercise, a small armed group illegally crossed the state border along mountain paths and took up positions in the homes of local residents.

The militants' actions were aimed at diverting attention and creating conditions for the development of success in other directions.

Under the scenario of the second stage, the conditional enemy concentrated large detachments near the state borders of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, preparing them for an invasion. Military units of the two countries practiced algorithms of response to such a threat, including suppression of sabotage and prevention of a large-scale attack on important strategic facilities.

At the end of the exercise, the Chiefs of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan awarded distinguished servicemen for their contribution to the joint exercise and high professionalism.
