US cancels funding for “useless” program in Armenia

The U.S. has canceled the funding of the “Promotion of Democratic Culture” program in Armenia. This was reported by the U.S. Department of State Efficiency, which is headed by multi-billionaire, associate of the U.S. President Ilon Musk.


It was planned to allocate 2 million dollars for these purposes.


Washington called such spending “useless”.


“The United States canceled the following useless grants: $1.4 million for 'Preventing Internet Fragmentation' in Brazil, $750,000 for 'Ensuring the Sustainability and Adaptation of Civil Society' in Kyrgyzstan, $1 million for 'Building Trust and Sustaining Hope' in Sri Lanka, and $2 million for 'Promoting Democratic Culture' in Armenia,” DOGE noted.”


Overall, U.S. authorities canceled $215 million worth of “useless” grants that were to be implemented in the United Kingdom, Moldova, Brazil and other countries.
