The Russian Deputy Prime Minister noted that there has been no progress in the work of the trilateral working group at the level of deputy prime ministers of the three countries for a long time.

YEREVAN, October 9 - Sputnik. Unblocking of economic and transportation corridors in the South Caucasus is possible only with Russia's participation. Russian Deputy Prime Minister and co-chairman of the trilateral working group from the Russian side Alexei Overchuk told Channel One.

“Armenia does not formally withdraw from the trilateral statement and does not withdraw its signature, but at the same time there is almost no movement on the track of the trilateral working group at the level of deputy prime ministers for two years, or at least one and a half - since last summer,” he explained.

Recall that on January 11, 2021, at the meeting of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in Moscow, an agreement was reached to unblock regional communications. A working group at the level of deputy prime ministers of the three countries was created, which should deal with the establishment of transport and economic ties in the region.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said that Russia is always ready to support the process of unblocking communications in the South Caucasus, based on the principles of Armenia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and jurisdiction.
