US President Donald Trump has accused Ukraine of derailing an agreement on rare earth metals, which the US administration believes would have allowed it to recoup the money spent on supporting Kiev.

“We had a deal on rare earth metals and other things, but they broke that deal two days ago,” Trump said at an investment forum in Miami.

In his remarks, Trump continued his attacks on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and said the U.S. has spent $350 billion to help Kiev but, unlike European countries, has gotten nothing in return.

“While the U.S. gets nothing in return, they [Europe] get their money back,” he said.
