Following the meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan, both sides issued identical official press releases. If, in addition to this, an agreement on a peace deal is reached, the public will be informed. This was stated by the spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Ani Badalyan.
"With regard to the unblocking of regional communications, we ask you to take as a basis and publish today's official statement by the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, which reaffirms Armenia's position. There is no agreement that differs from this, nor can there be.
We urge you to refrain from quoting terms used in the Azerbaijani press.
The Armenian public is familiar with the Armenian government's ideas on implementing the peace agenda. All the positions voiced in Abu Dhabi fit into these strategies, including the issue of unblocking regional communications, the ideas for which Armenia outlined in the “Crossroads of Peace” project.
Armenia also considers the meeting in Abu Dhabi to be successful, and we confirm that it can serve as a serious basis for the further implementation of the peace process," Badalyan noted.
