Russian ex-senator not allowed to enter Armenia

At the Yerevan airport ex-Sovfed senator Frants Klintsevich was denied entry, he told "Komsomolskaya Pravda".


"The border guards told me that I was not allowed to enter. I flew in to meet with people who helped me put up a monument to Afghanistan veterans. I was supposed to return home on Saturday. As a result, I fly to Moscow at 12 a.m. on Friday," Klintsevich's words are quoted in the material of the publication.


According to the ex-senator, the border service did not explain the reasons why he had to leave Armenia.


Klintsevich noted that his trip was exclusively private, and he did not plan any meetings with officials.
