There are no grounds for Russian-Ukrainian negotiations, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitriy Peskov has said in a conversation with the Izvestiya news and analysis website.

At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman clarified that many countries have declared their readiness to provide their territory for the talks, including Qatar.

“Indeed, the emirate is very active in terms of mediation on a variety of subjects, does it effectively. In addition to that, our bilateral relations with Qatar are excellent. And we are grateful to all countries for such goodwill, including Qatar,” Peskov said.

On Nov. 27 and 28, the Qatari embassy in Moscow held two ceremonies to return the children to relatives in Russia and Ukraine. Qatar is discussing expanding its mediation avenues, including dealing with prisoner-of-war exchanges.
