Peskov: Armenia gets a lot of dividends from CIS membership

Armenia remains an important participant of the CIS and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, TASS reported. “Armenia has suspended its participation in the CSTO format, but nevertheless, Armenia is still a very important participant in both the EAEU and the CIS. Both Armenia and the Armenian people get a lot of dividends from this participation. Therefore, it is a two-way road. Both the CIS itself and our Armenian friends are interested in this,” Peskov told reporters. The meeting of CIS leaders is traditionally held every year in late December in St. Petersburg. This time the informal summit will be held at the Igora ski resort complex in the Leningrad Region, not far from St. Petersburg.
