We are ready to simplify approaches within the framework of our principles. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in a conversation with journalists, commenting on Azerbaijan's statements on “an unobstructed road”.
“Azerbaijan states: “Since Armenia does not offer solutions, therefore Azerbaijan has decided that it will use the Iranian route.” This means that Iran's route and conditions are acceptable to them.
We are saying that we are ready to give Armenia territory on the same conditions to show that the notion that the conditions we offer may be unacceptable to Azerbaijan is not true,” he said.
Pashinyan also added that there is nothing in paragraph 9 of the November 9, 2020 statement that suggests that Armenia's territorial integrity, sovereignty or jurisdiction should be downplayed in any way.
“There is nothing there that says that a third force should be present in our country. Control. Control of what? And where would the control be? It could be a monitoring function that could be carried out from Moscow or through satellite communications. I am not talking about the fact that the trilateral statement of November 9 consists not only of the ninth point. Those who say that Armenia has made such a commitment are speaking untruths,” he emphasized.
