Hayk Sargsyan, a member of the Armenian parliament from the ruling GD, and Hayk Galumyan, the governor of Tavush region, had a quarrel right at the party meeting in the presence of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This is reported by Armlur.am.

The reason for the conflict was Sarkisian's statement about illegal deforestation in the region. The MP accused the governor of creating a stalemate environmental situation in Tavush. The verbal altercation accompanied by insults turned into a fight. The Prime Minister, who was watching the development of the conflict, left the session.

Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan tried to intervene and calm the participants of the clash, but the tension continued to grow, the newspaper said.
