Pashinyan and UAE president discuss peace with Baku and bilateral relations

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the progress of the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations and the possible signing of a peace agreement. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian government.


Nikol Pashinyan is in the UAE on a working visit.


The UAE president welcomed the agreement on a draft peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku and expressed hope for its early signing. Pashinyan, in turn, noted the role of the UAE in promoting regional stability and strengthening international security.


In addition, the parties touched upon the Armenian government's “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, as well as the role of the UAE in strengthening regional stability and international security.


The leaders of the two countries also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the high level of mutual trust and broad prospects for cooperation in the economic, investment, and humanitarian spheres. Pashinyan noted the importance of further developing and deepening friendly Armenian-Emirati relations, pointing to the significant potential of bilateral partnership.


The UAE president confirmed the Emirates' interest in expanding its partnership with Yerevan. He expressed his readiness to jointly promote mutually beneficial initiatives.


The parties also confirmed their mutual readiness to continue constructive dialogue and cooperation in the interests of the well-being of the peoples of the two countries.
