Against the background of the completion of negotiations on the “peace” agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Baku's disinformation campaign yesterday definitely shocked the public. Tigran Abrahamyan, an opposition MP and member of the Republican Party of Armenia, wrote about it on his Facebook page.
He, in particular, noted:
“The authorities are indoctrinating the people with false expectations about the long-awaited peace, while in parallel Azerbaijani unofficial mouthpieces are actively writing about a new war.
Within 24 hours, three false Azerbaijani reports of ceasefire violations in Syunik direction confirmed the hypothesis that Azerbaijan is preparing for new provocations rather than peace.
The question arises: what is the point of escalating the situation and provoking possible provocations?
The main task is the issue of the “corridor”, which was separated from the “peace” agreement, and Azerbaijan is trying to increase pressure in this direction.
In parallel, the final disarmament of Armenia, which has recently been brought to the forefront and formulated under the extremely dangerous demand of “demilitarization”, is very important for Azerbaijan.
One thing is clear: Azerbaijan will tighten the noose to the end in order to “squeeze” everything out of Armenia and deprive it of the opportunity to make independent decisions”.
