Mirziyoyev meets with Iran's new president

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian on the margins of an international forum in Ashgabat.


“The sides considered topical issues of further development of Uzbek-Iranian multifaceted relations. The ongoing active contacts and fruitful exchanges at different levels were noted with satisfaction,” Mirziyoyev's press service said in a statement.


The heads of state pointed to the importance of support and early implementation of cooperation projects, expansion of the list of products within the framework of the agreement on preferential trade.


The leaders of Uzbekistan and Iran also exchanged views on international and regional agenda.
