On October 9, Arman Tatoyan, Artak Beglaryan and Garnik Kerkonyan discussed with MEPs the issues related to the imposition of sanctions against Azerbaijan in connection with its crimes against the peoples of Artsakh and Armenia, the return of Artsakh Armenians to their homeland and the repatriation of Armenians illegally imprisoned in Azerbaijan.

Arman Tatoyan presented the violations of the rights of the border residents of Armenia by the Azerbaijani armed forces, as a result of which the people are deprived of normal and safe life and the opportunity to earn money.

Artak Beglaryan spoke about the blockade, forced displacement and other mass crimes against the people of Artsakh. He emphasized the necessity of international punishment of those responsible for the committed genocide and deprivation of homeland, the necessity of releasing the Armenian hostages, protecting the spiritual-cultural heritage and private property, as well as ensuring the return of the people of Artsakh, especially on the eve of the COP29 conference.

Garnik Kerkonian analyzed the crimes committed from the perspective of international law, emphasizing the obvious intention to commit genocide. He drew attention to the context of Armenianophobia in these crimes, emphasizing that the return of the people of Artsakh must take into account these characteristics and provide the appropriate conditions for this.

The visit and meetings of these figures were organized by Hay Dat office in France, accompanied by the representative Anahit Hakobyan.
