Lavrov and Rubio discuss Ukrainian settlement by phone: details

The Russian Foreign Minister and the US Secretary of State have discussed the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis in a telephone conversation, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said.

It is noted that Marco Rubio informed Sergey Lavrov about the contacts held in Paris with representatives of Ukraine, France and a number of other European countries.

Lavrov reiterated Moscow's readiness to continue working together with its US counterparts in order to reliably eliminate the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis.

The heads of the two agencies agreed to maintain operational communication, including in light of the meetings planned by the Americans and Europeans with the Ukrainian side next week.
