Iran: Implementation of the Zangezur Corridor is impossible without taking our interests into account

Sudeif Badri, a member of the Iranian parliament from Ardabil and head of the Iran-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group, said that the implementation of the Zangezur corridor project is impossible without taking into account Iran's strategic interests and role, according to the IRGC Telegram channel.

Recently, there have been unprofessional and unrealistic statements about the corridor, but such projects cannot move into the implementation phase without the agreement of the interested parties, especially Iran.

Threats and pressure are not conducive to the sustainable development of the region. All countries in the South Caucasus should strive for common interests with the participation of Iran.

The only country capable of guaranteeing the security of the interests of all countries in the region is Iran.

We do not intend to raise extraneous issues, but we emphasize that no transit route in the region, including the Zangezur route, can be implemented and sustained without taking into account the sensitive and important interests of Iran.
