A solemn event was held at the A. Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the event. Congratulating the investigators on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Investigation Committee, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan thanked everyone for the work done during this period.
According to the Prime Minister, a lot of work has been done over the years to increase the potential of the Investigative Committee and in this context the government has made a great contribution. “From my point of view and from the government's point of view, it is a contribution to the establishment of justice in the Republic of Armenia. I use the phrase 'establishing justice' for two key reasons. First, because I consider it one of the main demands of our political team, and second, unfortunately, today we cannot say that the citizens of the Republic of Armenia have a sense of justice. Taking advantage of this festive occasion and the presence of officials related to this topic, I once again emphasize this agenda,” Pashinyan said.
According to the Prime Minister, they do not have much time to instill in the citizens of the Republic of Armenia the feeling that there is fairness and justice in Armenia, that everyone is equal before the law and there are no privileged people in the country, whether they are representatives of the previous or current authorities. “Once again expressing my gratitude for the work done, I would like to consider the decade of the Investigative Committee as a kind of zero point, but not in the sense that the work done has been reduced to zero or discarded, but a zero point in the sense that as we move from zero point to the next point, the feeling and conviction of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia should deepen more and more in the existence of justice and fairness, legality and legitimacy in the country,” Pashinyan concluded.
