Georgian Interior Ministry investigates case of attack on Russian tourists

An attack on Russian citizens is being investigated in Georgia, the republic's Interior Ministry said.

"The investigation is being conducted under Articles 179 and 236 of the Criminal Code ("Robbery" and "Illegal possession, purchase and carrying of firearms". - Editor's note)", - specified in the press service of the agency.

The Interior Ministry did not specify the details of the incident.

Earlier it was reported in social networks that unknown persons attacked a married couple from Russia in the village of Nakra in Samegrelo-Svaneti region. The attackers blocked the road, threatened with weapons and took away the Russian man.
