First Deputy Khokim of Tashkent region appointed

Otabek Tursunov will be in charge of finance, economy and poverty alleviation issues in the regional administration.

Otabek Tursunov has been appointed First Deputy Khokim of Tashkent Region on Finance, Economy and Poverty Alleviation - Head of the Regional Department of Economy and Finance.

O. Tursunov was born in 1984 in Andijan. He has a higher education. In 2007 he graduated from the Andijan Engineering and Economic Institute.

He started his labor activity as a supplier of “Sanoat Kurilish Temp” LLC. He held responsible positions in the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Alleviation.

Prior to his appointment, he worked as deputy head of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers on issues of economy, industry, financial and banking activities, taxation, state assets, support of entrepreneurship and poverty alleviation.

Otabek Tursunov was presented and further priorities of his activity were determined at the regular meeting of the activists, which was held under the chairmanship of the regional governor.

Earlier, the first deputy akims of Tashkent Region were relieved of their posts.

According to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Botir Alimbekov failed to utilize the opportunities in agriculture, to use the ready-made system. Efforts to reduce poverty in the region were also deemed unsatisfactory and another first deputy regional khokim, Erkin Mukhiddinov, was relieved of his post. Both were appointed this year.
