Special and military equipment, including aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles, was used to practice scenarios involving the release of hostages and the neutralization of suspected terrorists at critical infrastructure facilities.

Special units of the State Security Service, the Interior Ministry, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Guard, the Ministry of Defense, as well as the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Health were involved in the exercise.

The exercise demonstrated elements of a special military operation to block and destroy illegal armed formations of terrorist orientation, as well as measures to suppress mass riots and resolve crisis situations.

The joint anti-terrorist exercises were the twentieth among similar events held under the auspices of the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center, six of which Uzbekistan participated in.
