European Union diplomacy chief Josep Borrell said he will propose to EU foreign ministers at a meeting on Monday to redirect 100 million euros of aid intended for the Georgian authorities to support “civil society.”

“Georgia will be discussed at the meeting today ... Concrete decisions will be taken. I proposed to stop most of the funding of programs for the Georgian government - more than 100 million euros. This money will be frozen and redirected to the civil society of Georgia,” he said.
