Azerbaijan and Türkiye expand military cooperation

Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade, Acting Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Commander of the Air Force, is visiting Türkiye at the invitation of Army General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, Commander of the Air Force of the Republic of Türkiye. On Thursday, he held a series of meetings, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense told AZERTRAC.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Islamzade met with Haluk Görgün, President of the Secretariat of Defense Industries under the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Yaşar Güler, Minister of National Defense, and Army General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu.

The discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, including a wide range of ideas regarding joint projects.

The importance of further expanding cooperation in military, military-technical, and military educational fields was emphasized, along with other issues of mutual interest.
