Armenian-Iranian exercises concluded: Heavy weapons were also used

Iran and Armenia have completed two days of military exercises in the Norduz region.
According to IRNA, the exercise program included the use of light and heavy weapons, demonstration of sniper skills of special forces, subversive and explosive operations, as well as fire support.
The main goal of the exercise was to strengthen border security and to maintain sustainable peace in the region.
Brig. Gen. Valiollah Mani, deputy commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps ground forces, led the exercise.
He said Iran's priority is to respect the territorial integrity of all neighboring countries.
Brigadier General Seyed Morteza Mirian, spokesman for the General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces, said, "Friendly relations with all countries and respect for the territorial integrity of all neighboring countries are Iran's priorities.
The ground forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have best fulfilled the prescribed measures in planning operations and coordination with friendly and brotherly Armenia.
Brigadier General Alireza Madani said, "The purpose of the exercise is to strengthen sustainable border security and fight terrorism. They were conducted in the shortest possible time in terms of planning and training of the units."
