Armenian alcohol exporters protested outside the Georgian Embassy. The road was blocked for a while.

The reason was laboratory inspections of products, which the Georgian side conducts on its territory. Georgia is a transit country in this case, and the protesters consider the inspections illegal and unjustified. They cause delays, result in losses and penalties for delaying deliveries to Russia and other countries.

The Georgian government has made no comment at this time.

Gayane Poghosyan, export specialist of Proshani cognac producer, said that they applied to the Armenian Ministry of Economy on the issue, but did not receive a response.
