The meetings were held ahead of the event scheduled for September 22 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan.

YEREVAN, September 12 - Sputnik. The leader of the Tavush for Homeland movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan met with former Armenian presidents Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the movement.

It is noted that ahead of the event scheduled for September 22 at the Karen Demirchyan JCC, Galstanyan held meetings with political forces of the Republic of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, including the two former presidents.

“The meeting with Armenia's first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan has not yet taken place for good reasons presented by the latter's office,” the report says.

Recall, protests in Armenia began after it became known about the agreement reached on April 19 between Yerevan and Baku to begin delimitation of the border with Tavush. On May 9, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, who led a procession from Tavush to Yerevan, called on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to resign. The protests were suspended in June, but the movement has said it intends to resume active political struggle in the fall.
